Bright Lights is a discipleship group for young ladies ages 8 and older. The purpose of the group is to build the faith of young ladies and instill in them biblical convictions that would keep them strong in the Lord as they navigate through the teen years.
A typical meeting will last about 1 ½ hours and will include worship, scripture, testimony, Bible lesson, practical steps of action, tea and dessert, and prayer time.
“My daughters have both been actively involved in a Bright Lights group for years, and I simply cannot overstate the virtues of this amazing group. They will be discussing and learning about such topics as: developing a close relationship with your parents, developing a disciplined walk with God, truthfulness, mercy, contentment, sensitivity, humility, self-control, holiness, discernment, recognizing and avoiding polluting influences, gratefulness, honoring your parents, orderliness, encouraging younger siblings, diligence, stewardship, modesty, (the list goes on and on.) We will also be addressing issues such as: complaining, gossip, disrespect, disputing, (and on it goes.)” – Val Smith, Bright Lights Coordinator
Date/Time – Every first and third Monday from October -April. 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Place: The group meets in Brookings at the Faith Reformed Church (1330 Main Ave S, Brookings SD)
